How You’ll Make this Internship Opportunity Your Own

Our Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning summer interns will work on a range of projects that ideally align with their interests. Some interns will use statistical techniques to provide insights into internal or external customer data to guide decision-making and enhance user experience. Other interns will build machine learning algorithms or work on artificial intelligence system deployments. The ideal intern will have knowledge of computer languages and their applications to enable a system to perform specific functions.

A Day in the Life

• Assist in researching, designing, developing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide or customer systems.

• Assist in performing systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.

• Assist in testing, diagnosing, and fixing incidents.

• Participates in large system and subsystem planning.

• Help ensure that applications and systems are compliant with established quality standards and meet customer and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

• Participate in special projects as required.

• Supports the completion of technical tasks.

• Assists with the solutions to technical problems of limited scope.

• Assists with the coordination for new products, software, upgrades, and equipment.

• Assists with documentation for processes and procedure related to computer systems and operations.

Must Haves

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar discipline.

• Ability to actively collaborate with others.

• Interest or experience with big data platform tools

• Knowledge of Python or other programming languages

• Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical terminology, concepts, and issues in terms understandable to both technical and non-technical resources.

• Intuitiveness with an ability to identify and solve complex problems related to rapidly changing technology.

• A sense of genuine, intellectual curiosity and a nimble mindset

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.50 - $34.50. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
