Policy Engineering Intern

What you'll do

• Develop internal tools and testing frameworks to improve engineering productivity and quality.
• Write backend code in Go within a production-grade codebase under senior engineer guidance.
• Build automated test suites and evaluation frameworks to validate system behavior.
• Prototype AI/LLM-powered tooling to assist development workflows.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on design discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews.

What they're looking for

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with prior AI tooling experience.
• Self-starter comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Must be available in-office 5 days per week in San Jose, CA.

Pay and perks

• $40–$50 USD hourly rate.
