We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Manufacturing Science and Technology team under Technical Operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in process development/technology transfer, exposure to real-world projects, and an opportunity to develop professional skills in a collaborative environment.
Essential Job Functions
Assist the engineer/scientist in executing trials for Xeris' technology platform products, focusing on mixing, product transfer, and filling unit operations.
Drafting test study protocols and reports, data management, and analysis.
Support MS&T team in day-to-day operations as needed.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed.
At the conclusion of the internship, prepare a comprehensive review of the internship experience and present to the organization.
Skills and Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, pursuing a degree in the engineering or scientific field, and has completed a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate studies
Minimum GPA 3.0
Returning to an academic program at a credentialed institution for at least one semester post-internship
Strong interest in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing
Skills required
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Thrive in a fast-paced, diverse work environment
Skills preferred
Knowledge of pharmaceutical processes and unit operations

Working Conditions

This role is based in Xeris' Chicago office and requires five days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at management's discretion.

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $24.00 - $30.00.
