Internship 2027 Sensor Hardware Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Build test fixtures and benchtop setups to characterize cameras, lidar, and sensor hardware
• Run structured lab test campaigns with documented data collection and analysis
• Deploy test setups at field sites and support live testing on construction equipment
• Develop automation tools for data collection, processing, and pass/fail evaluation
• Select test equipment and support electrical and mechanical debugging of hardware
• Document methods, results, and present findings to guide sensor selection

What they're looking for

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Optics, Mechatronics, or related field
• Hands-on hardware building or testing experience from coursework, projects, or internships
• Python proficiency for data processing and scripting
• Comfortable with lab equipment, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and DAQ systems
• Willing to work outdoors around active construction equipment at field sites
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
