Internship 2027 Behavior Machine Learning Engineer, World Models

What you'll do

• Develop and test predictive models on data collected from operating autonomous excavators
• Investigate different model designs and determine which ones deliver genuine improvements
• Create tools to measure whether models actually perform better than alternatives
• Integrate model predictions into the planning and control systems for field deployment
• Document results and create a solid starting point for continued research

What they're looking for

• Enrolled in or equivalent to a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral program in ML, robotics, or related fields
• Proficient in Python and experienced training neural networks with PyTorch or similar frameworks
• Capable of converting published research into functional implementations
• Able to handle imperfect, unstructured data from real-world sources
• Demonstrates good judgment distinguishing signal from random variation in experiments
