About the Role & Program
ABC11-WTVD is launching a newly combined Community Engagement and Marketing internship for Spring 2027, designed for students who want to understand how a local television station connects with audiences beyond the broadcast through community partnerships, digital storytelling, and strategic marketing initiatives.
This role sits at the intersection of two functions that increasingly work together to strengthen the station's relationship with the communities it serves. The Marketing Department serves as the station's internal advertising agency, with News as its primary client, promoting content and the ABC11 brand across multiple platforms. The Community Engagement Department collaborates with community organizations and leaders to highlight and address local needs, priorities, and events.
This is an ideal opportunity for a student interested in communications, marketing, digital media, public relations, or community engagement who wants to see how audience growth and community impact work together in a modern media organization.
