Internships will run from mid-May to early August. Interviews and hiring decisions expect to be completed prior to mid-November, with some being completed as early as late September.
These are in-office internships onsite at our West Des Moines located at 7700 Mills Civic Parkway.
What you will do
- Provides accurate estimates for assigned unit of development.
- Demonstrates ability to resolve routine programming issues.
- Documents own code and produces technical design documentation with guidance from senior members.
- Develops small to medium-size applications.
- Performs application testing to assure delivery meets the user's requirements.
- Assists project managers in conducting fact-findings, which will result in the formulation and definition of the system scope and objectives for developing or modifying information software applications.
- Follows and adheres of internal policies and procedures (standards, controls and metrics).
- Basic understanding of coding best practices
Qualifications and Experience
What you will bring
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret detailed project specifications and business requirements to develop program logic and code.
- Demonstrates basic understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes.
- Ability to prioritize tasks within the project and work with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Process and detail oriented with the ability to grasp complex business workflows and processes.
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
- C#, .Net MVC, Angular, AWS/Azure cloud experience a plus
Bonus experience (Not required)
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts, generative AI, machine learning, or large language models.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools—such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools—or working with AI services and APIs, such as Azure AI, AWS AI/ML services, or OpenAI APIs.
