About the Smart Manufacturing Engineer Internship

You’ll develop skills in project planning, cross-functional collaboration, and identifying innovative ways to apply AI to improve business and manufacturing processes.

Program Structure

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer
Location: Saukville, WI & Mequon, WI
Start Date: May 2027
Duration: Summer internship

What we're looking for

Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Ability to succeed in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Preferred experience

Enthusiastic for new technology and process improvement.

What you'll focus on

Help with the expansion of AI vision safety systems.
Assist with engineering practices for our plant robot.
Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
Assist and/or lead multiple Digital Transformation -related projects supporting the different facets of the business.
Document and improve processes.
