Duration: Monday, May 17th- August 20th, 2027

Sales Business Analyst – Intern Job Description

Under close supervision, responsible for applying basic analytical principles, assisting in data collection, and reporting for Sales Support operations. The Sales Business Analyst Intern supports the development of data analysis products (e.g., reports, dashboards, workflows, applications) and provides foundational insights to support decision-making. The Sales Business Analyst may need to work cross-functionally with Information Technology and Operations departments

Duties and Responsibilities

The statements below describe the essential duties of the role and are not exhaustive

  • Collaborate with other teams to understand data needs
  • Participate in data validation and integrity checks
  • Participate in user group meetings for knowledge sharing
  • Support creation of basic reports and dashboards under guidance
  • Support monitoring and maintenance of products (reports, applications, workflows, etc.)
  • Support timely decision-making through accurate reporting and foundational data prep that enables smooth operations in Sales
  • Identify, understand, and/or assess source data, data processes, and workflows
  • Conceive of and propose the most efficient methodology using the available data sources at TEA
  • Potentially conceive of AI uses that would increase efficiencies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Power Pivot, SharePoint, Snowflake)
  • Fundamental understanding of data structures and reporting
  • Analytical character with high learning agility
  • Takes ownership and wants to have a strong contribution

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure)

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • No experience necessary; previous internships or relevant academic projects are preferred but not required
