We are seeking a talented individual to join our Broking team at Marsh Re. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Our Impact in the Reinsurance Market
A dynamic and renowned innovator in the reinsurance broking space, Marsh Re helps insurance companies find new ways to manage their risk. As a reinsurance intermediary, Marsh Re's colleagues are offered a unique opportunity to pursue a career that marries investment banking and consulting. Similar to an investment bank, we broker a specific type of financial transaction called reinsurance. Comparable to a consulting firm, we leverage our reinsurance expertise to help our clients anticipate and navigate change, providing them with a business edge that goes beyond the insurance transaction. Our full company platform includes broking expertise, strategic advisory services, and best-in-class analytics, giving insurers the confidence they need to grow and protect their business.
We thrive on working together, harnessing our collective intelligence across teams, borders, and backgrounds. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, innovative, a self-starter and enjoys building relationships with clients, reinsurers and colleagues.
What is Reinsurance?
Reinsurance is a risk transfer agreement that is often referred to as "insurance for insurance companies". Insurance companies purchase reinsurance from other carriers to protect against the risk of a major claims event. Marsh Re supports insurance companies as they navigate the market to find the best reinsurance solutions for their needs. Given the important role we play in global risk mitigation, we enable insurance companies the opportunity to protect individuals against unforeseen loss.
Fulfilling Your Potential
The Risk Intern is a feeder role for our Risk Analyst position which is the entry level to the reinsurance Broker career track. Our Brokers are client advocates in the reinsurance transaction negotiations but also leaders in advising the right risk mitigation techniques; their financial broking expertise helps drive favorable terms for our clients, and their important advisory role impacts how the c-suite of insurance companies make decisions.
