Residential Energy Product Strategy Intern

This Residential Energy Product Strategy Intern, located in Minnesota or Wisconsin, will focus on Trade Strategy, Research coordination of 3rd party resources, and Program Satisfaction (PSAT). You'll work with a team of energy product strategy experts to support overall residential product work in addition to owning delivery and results for 1 to 3 key projects in listed focus area. You also will have the opportunity to learn more about how Xcel Energy offers its residential customers products and services that help align customer's energy needs with environmental targets and other Company objectives.

Typical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to

• Trade Strategy project coordination and support

• Research coordination and compilation of 3rd party resources

• Program Satisfaction (PSAT) project coordination

This position is for a May 24, 2027 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship's initial term based on the candidate's successful performance and Xcel Energy's business needs.

Minimum Requirements

• Current student, Junior or higher

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Construction Science, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Public Policy or related area.

• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience working with data to support decision-making.

• Demonstrated leadership through coursework, student organizations, work experience, or community involvement.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development and facilitation.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $20.90 to $22.10 per hour
