Radiation Effects Engineer Intern

What you'll do

• Validate electrical systems designed to withstand radiation exposure
• Prepare test procedures, construct measurement apparatus, and record findings with thorough problem analysis
• Participate in component screening initiatives measuring ionization damage and transient failures
• Coordinate with other departments on radiation-related technical decisions
• Assemble prototypes, validate measurement automation, and construct interconnect assemblies

What they're looking for

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent discipline
• Interest in physical device creation within demanding timelines involving lab work and diagnostics
• Competence using standard instrumentation: scopes, meters, voltage sources, and parametric analyzers
• Background with Altium or comparable schematic and layout tools
• Track record of independently creating and validating electronic circuits

Pay and perks

• $29.00 per hour
• 12-week internship
