### JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

We are searching for a motivated undergraduate student to join the Fluids Dynamics and Acoustic Office at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State. This fall/spring internship will concentrate on research to enhance their readiness for successful and impactful careers in engineering, tribology, and/or national security.

Typical focus areas include:

- Support engineering testing, data analysis, and data visualization

- Perform hands-on work in a laboratory environment

- Use multiple computing languages, analysis tools, simulations, and measurement systems

Students majoring in the following fields are encouraged to apply:

- Undergraduate students majoring in Aerospace Engineering

Interest Skills/Experience areas include:

- Willingness to learn

- Organizational skill

- Understanding of multiple computer languages

Current eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret level or higher is preferred. You may also be subject to a government background investigation to upgrade clearance eligibility, if required.

You will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours/week over the summer. This is a paid internship opportunity, and location will be fully on-site located in State College, PA.

ARL's purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific, engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Intel Community (IC).
