Personal Lines Underwriting Internship - Summer 2027

What you'll do

• Learn insurance coverages, contracts, company philosophy and procedures for underwriting decisions
• Study policies, manuals, forms and endorsements to understand their application
• Analyze loss experience, financial conditions and physical risk characteristics
• Gain knowledge of underwriting department support functions
• Communicate with agents and employees verbally and in writing

What they're looking for

• Currently enrolled, entering junior or senior year
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with independent decision-making
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to resolve complex issues
• Interest in developing product knowledge through educational programs

Pay and perks

• $18.00 per hour
