Job Description

This internship is intended for Industrial Engineering graduate students with a focus on Operations Research, simulation, analytics, and optimization. Interns will apply mathematical modeling, discrete event simulation, statistics, and software development skills to analyze and improve semiconductor manufacturing operations. Projects may include developing and enhancing factory simulation models, building data pipelines and analytics solutions, conducting experiments, and supporting capacity, production, and operational decision making. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong quantitative problem-solving skills, programming experience in Python and SQL, and an interest in modeling complex manufacturing systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidate should be in pursuit of a Master's degree in Industrial engineering or Operations Research
  • Strong background in software development.
  • Expected graduation date of Dec '27 or Summer '28 preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skilled in Discrete-Event Predictive Modeling and Digital Twin Manufacturing Simulations
  • Experienced in Oracle PL/SQL, Python, R, and Applied Statistics
  • Strong Analytics and ML experience - Regression, Clustering, Neural networks (feedforward, CNN, RNN, LSTM), Classification, Transformer models and attention mechanisms
  • LangChain framework for building LLM applications and agent workflows
  • Model fine-tuning techniques (LoRA, QLoRA, full fine-tuning, PEFT)
  • Experienced in Data analysis, data visualization, Statistical analysis, Time Series analysis
  • Production Planning and Manufacturing Automation experience is a plus
  • Optimization CPLEX, Linear and Mixed integer programming is a plus
  • 3.0 GPA
