This co-op will be hybrid, and students must be located near and be able to commute to our Wellesley, MA office.

The Role

Sun Life U.S. Health and Risk Solutions is looking for a proactive, positive, and dynamic team player to join our Medical Intelligence team as a co-op student supporting the development of key training materials for conducting provider research for a wide variety of specialties. As a member of the team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about healthcare research and navigation.

Responsibilities

  • Research and compile data to develop a library of resources for provider identification for 40+ specialties
  • Collaborate with Medical Intelligence Analysts to develop standard operating procedures for research processes
  • Assist Medical Intelligence Team Leads with updating the team's SharePoint site
  • Other duties as assigned

Core skill sets needed for this role

  • Experience in healthcare research or healthcare field preferred
  • Exceptional internet researching skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and Adobe products
  • Proactive, able to manage multiple projects with demanding deadlines
  • Highly-motivated, self-driven, focused, strong attentive to detail

The Candidate

To be eligible for a co-op at Sun Life, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university during the time of internship (January 2027 - June 2027)
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in, healthcare information management, health administration, public health, nursing, or related field of study
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during co-op session

Compensation for this position will be $25/hr.
