### The Role

Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be full time, 6 months in duration.

The Mechanical Engineering Co-op supports the design, development, testing, and documentation of ultra-high-purity (UHP) gas purification systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. Working closely with mechanical engineers, manufacturing, quality, and project teams, the co-op assists with CAD modeling, engineering drawings, bill of material management, prototype testing, data analysis, and technical documentation.

### What You'll Do

- Mechanical design activities (3D modeling, drafting) in Solidworks
- Evaluate component performance
- Assist with pressure vessel and piping system documentation
- Conducting laboratory testing
- Troubleshooting hardware issues
- Implementing engineering change requests

### What We Seek

- Pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Excel and basic engineering calculations
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based engineering environment
