Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Manufacturing Data & Analytics Co-Op located in our Libertyville, IL site.

Reporting to Process & Automation Engineering Team, the student will support manufacturing data analysis, OEE tracking, dashboard development, and SPC charting across molding and coiling operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What a typical day looks like

  • Develop Power BI dashboards for OEE, downtime, scrap, and cycle time
  • Write SQL queries to extract production data
  • Use Python for data analysis and automation scripts
  • Create and maintain SPC charts (X-bar, R, Cpk analysis)
  • Support coiler data collection integration
  • Assist with predictive maintenance analytics initiatives
  • Attend team meetings to support project work as needed

Student qualities we're seeking for this Co-Op assignment

  • Junior/Senior student pursuing Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering major
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI for dashboards
  • Basic knowledge of statistics
  • Understanding of manufacturing KPIs (OEE, downtime, scrap, cycle time)
  • Exposure to data collection and predictive maintenance concepts
  • Previous manufacturing internship experience a plus!

Co-Op Program Requirements

  • Ability to work 40 hours/week (in person) during the Spring 2027 co-op assignment
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • 3.0 GPA
