### POSITION SUMMARY

The Golf Course maintenance summer intern is responsible for chemical applications, irrigation troubleshooting, and exposure to small crew leadership opportunities.

### ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Performs chemical applications - boom spraying greens, tees, and fairways.

- Performs maintenance on Rainbird/Toro sprinkler head and troubleshoots as needed.

- Sands topdressing of greens.

- Hand waters bent grass greens in the transition zone using a pogo sensor.

- Leads small project crew when opportunities arise.

- Networks with the other on course assistants, course superintendents as well as the Director of Agronomy.

- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

### EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

- Must be currently enrolled and working towards a Turfgrass Management/Landscaping Degree

### KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

- Service-oriented mindset and capable of making every guest feel valued.

- Strong communication skills

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Competent in working with multiple systems, including Microsoft Office and power point.
