About Us
Hive Financial Systems is a fintech company expanding financial inclusion through AI-driven lending technology. Our multi-portfolio loan management platform powers multiple lending partners serving tens of thousands of active consumers. Hive Financial Assets (HFA) is the company's private credit and investor relations arm, connecting investors to the lending portfolios that make responsible lending possible for underserved markets.
Role Overview
We're looking for a curious, detail-oriented intern to join the HFA team for the summer and provide analytics support across investor relations and capital raising. You'll work with real investor data, including CRM activity, capital raised and rolled, and investor balances, to understand how investors engage with us and help the team act on it. You'll work directly with HFA leadership, partner with Finance, Operations, and Engineering, and finish the summer with projects you can point to.
What You'll Do
- Build investor interaction models that show how and when investors engage, using CRM activity, email, and meeting data.
- Help design and test re-engagement ideas, and measure what works from the investor's point of view.
- Analyze capital flows, including capital raised, rolled, and redeemed, and support forecasting of new capital.
- Build and maintain dashboards tracking AUM, capital raised YTD, and investor engagement.
- Help determine each investor's preferred communication method and support next-best-action recommendations for the team.
- Provide general analytics support for investor updates, pitch materials, and leadership reporting, including checking figures for accuracy.
- Keep investor data accurate by reconciling CRM records against internal investment schedules and flagging anomalies.
Tools You'll Use
SQL, Hex, Python, Microsoft Excel, our investor CRM, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, and AI assistants for analysis and documentation.
Qualifications
- Junior, senior, or master's student in Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY) and strong Excel skills.
- Some exposure to Python or R for data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially with financial data.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain numbers to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with a BI tool (Hex, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Interest in private credit, alternative investments, or wealth management.
- Basic statistics or forecasting, such as regression, time series, or A/B testing.
- Experience with a CRM (Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot, or similar).
What You'll Gain
- Hands-on experience with investor analytics and capital raising at a private credit firm.
- Practical skills in SQL, Python, BI, and analytical modeling.
- Mentorship from HFA leadership.
- A portfolio-ready project presented to company leadership at the end of the summer.
Perks & Benefits
- Regular feedback and professional development support.
- Networking with peers and leaders across the company.
- Flexible work arrangements (hybrid where applicable).
- Pathways to full-time roles after graduation.
