Job Description
Summary:
The Storytelling Coordinator creates and writes storytelling content for the Baker School of Education (BSE) website, newsletter, social media channels, marketing publications, and other outlets. Duties will include: video interviewing alumni, faculty, staff, students, and alumni and for written articles; drafting articles; editing content; compiling the BSE newsletter; photography; creating compelling social media graphics to support content; posting to social media platforms; and other duties as assigned.
The student will learn and use AU's digital asset management systems (HootSuite for social media, filing of videos and photos). The position reports to the BSE Director, Strategic Communications and Marketing, and may cover events onsite when timing allows. The ideal candidate will have experience with video recording and editing. This team member works across departments to source content that is timely, engages and builds relationships with audiences, and helps stakeholders in the influencer community better understand the transformational teaching and research conducted by our faculty. This position prioritizes and manages a varied workflow; stays organized; and communicates well with team members, others in SOE, and colleagues in the larger AU community. This student must be dependable, organized, and skilled with the Microsoft Office suite.
