Viavi Solutions Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced technology environment, contributing to the design, development, and testing of innovative electrical systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in the design, simulation, and testing of analog and digital circuits.
- Support the development and debugging of embedded systems, including hardware and firmware.
- Conduct laboratory experiments, collect data, and analyze results.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, schematics, and layouts.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into larger systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in prototypes and existing products.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in electrical engineering.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, digital logic, and analog electronics.
- Familiarity with circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, SPICE).
- Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C/C++, Python) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
