E&S Property Underwriting Intern

What you'll do

• Assist in underwriting specialized sectors including manufacturing, warehousing, healthcare, education, and real estate.
• Evaluate accounts with earthquake, hurricane, tornado, hail, flood, and wildfire exposures for wholesale distribution.
• Manage broker submissions and verify data completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze submissions and market trends to identify new business opportunities.

What they're looking for

• Currently a Junior or Senior majoring in Risk Management, Insurance, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA with graduation between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Strong financial statement understanding and written/verbal communication skills.
• Analytical mindset, self-starter who works independently in fast-paced environments.

Pay and perks

• $26 hourly rate for New York City positions.
• Hybrid role: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
• Program runs June 2 – August 6, 2027.
• Eligible for select Arch benefits.
