Work Term: January - April 2027
The successful candidate will work within the portfolio management team of the customer risk department. During their time with the bank, they will collaborate with the team to build new process efficiencies and aid with optimizing and implementing new risk strategies that will drive business growth and achieve strategic objectives. The successful candidate will learn the fundamentals of credit card industry, gaining insight on the importance of the role that the customer risk department plays within the bank.
The Core Responsibilities of the Job
- Analyze customer, campaign, and business data to generate insights that support customer onboarding, activation, engagement, and growth strategies.
- Assist in developing, monitoring, and evaluating Next Best Action (NBA) strategies using analytics, modeling, and testing methodologies.
- Support the analysis of customer journeys and marketing campaigns to identify opportunities to improve customer experience and business performance.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance tracking tools to monitor key business metrics.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, and Analytics, to support data-driven decision-making and campaign measurement.
- Help automate and improve data preparation, reporting, and analytical processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate insights and findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- An academic focus in mathematics, statistics, business, or a quantitative discipline.
- Hands on experience with programming languages such as PySpark, SQL, or Python.
- Expert in MS Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Detail oriented and an ability to propose creative solutions.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and independently execute assigned work.
- Team player and results oriented.

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from EQ Bank's additional office space located at 2200-25 Ontario Street, Toronto, ON.
