The Claims IT Team is seeking a Claims Lab Developer Intern for summer 2027.

### Responsibilities:

- Work closely with development engineers throughout the software development lifecycle
- Create test cases for new code
- Document and test new software functionality
- Work closely with engineers to design and develop cloud-native software primarily in Java and JavaScript.
- Help create front-end web applications and back-end services that are actively being used.
- Work with First Notice of Loss applications and externally facing API’s that allow people to report information and upload files.

### Requirements:

Ability to work in the office at minimum three days a week.

### Education:

- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related
- 2028 graduation year preferred

### Experience/skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Knowledge of REST APIs and service-oriented architectures
- Java, Java-script, MarkLogic and RabbitMQ are a plus
