Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern to join our Ore Technology team! This position will receive functional guidance from Scientists and Principal Investigators.

As a Chemical Engineer Intern, you will work closely with the Titanium Technologies team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a laboratory environment. You will work closely with other engineers and chemists to drive process optimization and new process development through experiments, data interpretation, and literature reviews.

Location: Newark, DE

Hours: Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week

Term: Spring 2027, 5-month assignment between Jan-May 2027

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Working with experienced R&D professionals on process technology developmental projects

- Participating in process safety management activities and reviews

- Lab work including the design, construction, operation, and optimization of lab-scale unit operations including reactors, filters, ovens, mixers, pumps, etc.

- Supporting multiple projects with data analysis, data recordkeeping, and data sharing with team members.

- Contributing to team meetings and conference calls

- Safe handling of chemicals and safe operation of chemical processes

### The following is required for this role:

- Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at time of assignment

- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or similar fields

### The following is preferred for this role:

- 3.0 GPA or above

- Previous experience (industrial or academic) with the following chemical processes: reaction engineering, thermodynamics, titration, filtration, and distillation.

- Experience working with chemicals

- Hands-on experience with building laboratory setups
