### What you'll be doing

CIBC's Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering team is hiring for Winter Co-Ops! This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative, agile, team-based environment where you'll support reporting, analytics, and data visualization that enable informed decision-making across the function. As a Co-op Student on the Business Intelligence team within Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering, you'll gain hands-on experience in a business intelligence function while building technical capability across SQL, Python, Databricks, Tableau, and Power BI. You'll contribute to meaningful work, strengthen your analytics and reporting skills, and gain exposure to a collaborative corporate environment focused on data-driven decision-making.

### How you'll succeed

- Data Extraction & Reporting - Support the extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis of data from multiple internal sources to enable accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting for the Enterprise AML team.
- Dashboard Development & Visualization - Assist in the creation and enhancement of dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, and other reporting tools to communicate key metrics and insights clearly and effectively.
- Analytics & Insight Generation - Analyze data, identify trends and anomalies, and support the delivery of business intelligence that informs reporting, monitoring, and decision-making.
- Technical Enablement - Use SQL to query, analyze, and troubleshoot data issues, and support automation and analytical tasks using Python and Databricks.
- Data Quality & Validation - Perform data quality checks to help ensure reporting outputs are accurate, consistent, and reliable.
- Stakeholder Collaboration - Partner with team members and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into practical, effective reporting solutions.
- Documentation & Standards - Contribute to process documentation, report logic, metric definitions, and dashboard standards to support consistency, usability, and scalability.
- Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, dashboard usability, and overall visualization effectiveness.

- You have experience or academic exposure to SQL and familiarity with Python for data analysis, scripting, or automation.
- You can demonstrate exposure to Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, or other reporting and visualization tools.
