### Overview

We are seeking a full-time Audio Engineering Intern at Garmin's Miramar, FL location. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with designing and testing acoustic components and audio products while working alongside experienced engineers.

### Essential Functions

- Assist with the design, prototyping, and testing of acoustic components and audio systems

- Support product testing activities by following established test procedures, collecting data, and documenting results

- Help create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), test documentation, and product verification records

- Assist engineering teams with the assembly of prototype audio products

- Develop assembly and test fixtures, enclosures, and related components using CAD software such as SolidWorks

- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction activities and troubleshoot production-related issues

- Work with test engineers and factory personnel to support product testing and production

- Research emerging audio technologies, components, and industry trends to support product development efforts

- Assist with maintaining product documentation and engineering records in accordance with configuration control processes

- Participate in product evaluations and provide feedback on products in development as part of the learning experience

### Basic Qualifications

- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field

- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)

- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

### Desired Qualifications

- Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)

- CAD knowledge and/or experience

- Relevant mechanical or electrical design experience

- Demonstrated strengths in math, science, physics and practical application work

- Problem solving skills

- Previous internship experience with audio products
