## Posting

### THE ROLE

Satine Technologies is hiring an Associate Offensive Security Engineer in Atlanta. You'll split your time between software engineering on a federal healthcare platform and learning to deliver high-impact penetration tests and incident response alongside senior operators.

Satine is an offensive cybersecurity firm founded by former military cyber professionals. We run penetration tests, incident response, and various cyber advisory services. We also build and support software for federal programs. We're small, so your work goes straight to clients, and you'll learn directly from the people doing it.

### WHAT YOU'LL DO

About half your time goes to platform & security engineering; the other half to offensive security and IR, growing as you ramp up.

- Build and maintain features on a microservices platform backed by Node.js, MySQL, and Apache Kafka.
- Support penetration tests across external, internal, and web application scopes: reconnaissance, enumeration, exploitation, and evidence capture.
- Assist on incident response engagements: log and artifact collection, timeline building, and forensic triage.
- Write findings that state what was confirmed versus inferred, with reproducible evidence.
- Build tooling and automation that makes our testing faster, more repeatable, and more realistic.
- Work toward the OSCP in your first year.

### WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field (2026 graduates welcome).
- Working ability in at least one language (Javascript/Typescript or similar), plus comfort with SQL and Linux.
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common enterprise services.
- Clear writing. Our clients read every report.
- U.S. person (citizen or permanent resident), able to pass a background check for federal work.

Nice to Have

- Hands-on offensive practice: Hack The Box, TryHackMe, CTFs, or a home lab you can walk us through.
- Exposure to Active Directory, Burp Suite, Nmap, or a C2 framework.
- Experience with Kafka, Docker, or cloud platforms.

### COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Base salary range is $60,000 to $72,000, depending on demonstrated skills and experience.

- Training and certification reimbursement program.
- Satine pays 95% of eligible employee health insurance premiums.
- 401(k) with a match up to 4%.
- Health FSA.
- Unlimited PTO.

### ABOUT THIS POSITION

This is a full-time, salaried position that begins as a term role, with a path to a permanent role. We're telling you this up front because you should know how the role is structured before you apply.

Conversion to a permanent role is based on your performance and the growth of your offensive security skills.

The length of the initial term depends on business needs. We'll review conversion with you on a regular schedule and keep you informed as things develop.
