Expectations and Responsibilities
- Introduce intern to the tools, processes, and methodologies used in design project coordination for convenience store development.
- Build foundational skills in design including floor planning, architectural, and civil design.
- Provide exposure to cross-functional collaboration with Real Estate, Entitlements, and Construction teams.
- Assist in maintaining design quality by supporting design deliverable owner review.
- Support prototype design development through change request development.
- Analyze historical design data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization.
- Participate in design review meetings and contribute to variance analysis and reporting.
- Complete a capstone assignment.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business or related field
- Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
