2027 Summer Intern, Sales Associate

What you'll do

• Assist the business development team with proposal strategy and client acquisition efforts
• Create presentation materials, briefs, and documents for client pitches
• Produce promotional content for digital channels, case examples, and organizational capabilities
• Identify prospective government and commercial buyers plus grant funding sources
• Manage database records, monitor potential clients, and report on deal progress

What they're looking for

• At least 30 completed college credits in policy, communications, civics, commerce, or similar disciplines before the start date
• Clear and persuasive communication abilities across written and spoken formats
• Comfort with Microsoft Office tools, particularly data management and slide creation
• Enthusiasm for public sector partnerships, advisory work, environmental initiatives, or energy sectors

Pay and perks

• $23 hourly rate
• 10-week full-time summer position from June through August
• Flexible arrangement between Reston and Arlington offices in Virginia
