Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Developer for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in Chantilly, VA

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Jenga B Program with in Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems

### Roles and Responsibilities

As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of specializations that may include:

- Basic software development experience used to develop applications using Python, JavaScript and other tools based on requirements

- Use GitLab for code management including bug tracking, testing and push to production

- Ability to research, solve problems and carry out tasks with minimal supervision

- Create and/or update documentation / instructions as directed

- Ability to work well remotely with a virtual team

### Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027

- Be majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related field

- ONLY CANDIDATES WHO HAVE THE LISTED DEGREE MAJORS WILL MEET THIS BQ. IF THEY DO NOT HAVE ONE OF THE LISTED MAJORS THEY WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THE POSITION.

- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027

- Have U.S. citizenship

- Java or C# or C/C++

- Clearance is required to start.

### Preferred Qualifications

- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

- Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

- Good presentation and writing/communication skills.

- Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.

- Web development (HTML, CSS). Preferably experience with any/all of Python Flask web framework, Gunicorn and NGINX

- Familiarity with Linux operating system (package installation/removal, file permissions, network configuration, shell environment etc.)

- Powershell, MongoDB, Ansible, Git

- Exposure to basic networking (e.g. routing/switching and security)

### Intern Pay Range

Bachelor's: $21.50 to $39.00 per hour

Master's: $30.50 to $48.00 per hour

Primary Level Salary Range: $21.50 - $39.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
